Best scite alternatives
12 tools
scite is one of the better-known Research tools, but it is not the only option, and it is not the right fit for every team, budget or workflow. This page collects 12 alternatives that solve the same problem from a different angle, starting with Elicit, Consensus and Connected Papers.
Each alternative shares at least one tag with scite and lives in the same Research category, so the comparison is apples to apples. Open a card to see the pricing type, the platforms it runs on and a short honest description, then follow the link to the official website to try it yourself.
We keep this list current as new Research tools are approved, so it reflects the market in 2026.
