ZeroDirs AI Tools

How we evaluate AI tools before listing them

The checklist behind every listing in this directory, from pricing honesty to whether the product still exists.

  • directory
  • editorial

A directory is only useful if the entries in it are real, current, and described honestly. Here is the short version of how we decide what goes in.

The product has to exist and be reachable

Every listing links to a live homepage. We check the link when the entry is created and again when a reader reports a problem. Products that shut down, merge into something else, or turn into a waitlist are removed or updated rather than left to rot.

Taglines describe, they do not sell

The one-line tagline is written by us, not copied from a launch tweet. It should tell you what the tool does in under 160 characters without superlatives. “Meeting transcription and AI notes” is a tagline; “the world’s smartest meeting assistant” is not.

Pricing is one of three words

Each entry is marked free, freemium, or paid. Free means you can use the core product without paying. Freemium means there is a usable free tier with limits. Paid means you need a subscription or purchase after a trial, if there is a trial at all.

Tags are for filtering, not for SEO

We keep the tag list deliberately small. A tag exists only if at least a handful of tools genuinely share the trait, so that the tag pages and the “best X for Y” pages have enough entries to be worth reading.

Some listings pay for a featured slot. Those are visually marked, sorted first, and their outbound links carry rel="sponsored". Paying never changes the description.

If you think an entry is wrong, the submit form is the fastest way to tell us.
